Radioddity x Baofeng RD-5R DMR

Hello,

Just a question to anyone with that radio, I just wondered out of curiosity how it performs and also how does the code plug structure work, is it possible to use the Radioddity Code Plug or is this code plug unique to this radio?

Many Thanks

Re: MD380/RT3 firmware update issue

I have upgraded the MD380 and it is very very good. Both of these links give details - http://www.va3xpr.net/programming-software-firmware/ http://www.g0hwc.com/tyt-md-380-dmr-rad ... mware.html

Good Luck

Re: Dual Band Tier 2 DMR VHF/UHF Thread

Hi Chris, Thank you for the update, can I ask if you ordered direct from Radioddity directly or via a reseller? Also for the password in the software it is universal or unique to the software version? I am thinking of ordering and wanted to try and cut a very basic code plug for local repeaters so a...

Re: Dual Band Tier 2 DMR VHF/UHF Thread

There's this one too, which certainly seems too good to be true. https://www.radioddity.com/radioddity-gd-77-dual-band-dual-time-slot-digital-two-way-radio-walkie-talkie-dmr-compatible-with-motrobo-tier-1-tier-2-programming-cable.html Some videos on YouTube look quite promising, if it arrives at th...

Dual Band Tier 2 DMR VHF/UHF Thread

Hello All, I know that things have been a little quiet on the DMR front for past few months. I though I would put together a small mini thread on the new Tier-2 dual Band DMR radios that have been released. I have seen and touched a Retrevis RT-82 and seen the features and what the radio has to offe...

Re: First radio

Agree with 2e0ucw, the TYT MD380 and Retevis RT8 or RT3 are a great starting point with access to both DMR and Analogue on 70cms. You will need access to a PC for adding the code plug to the radio so if you can opt for a programming cable as part of a bundle. If you are buying from any auction site,...
