Experiment firmware V1 for MD-380

Postby F4FFD » Tue Mar 22, 2016 2:15 pm

Hi group.
Today I tried the new experiment firmware for MD-380. It opens all TG and listens the two timeslots in the same time. It's more easy to listen traffic. Just we have to choose the good ColorCode.
But, when I go back to v2.034, Timeslots are always listening in the same time, as the Hytera's "Pseudo Trunk". Impossible to change. It's very good to listen station but if you want to transmit, you do it in TS1 and TS2 simultaneously.
Does someone have the same problem ?

If you want to try -> http://www.va3xpr.net/experimental-firmware-tyt-md-380/

I would suspect that you have not stepped back with the firmware and are still running the experimental firmware..

I thought too, so I have checked, but TG are now as before and not open.
The problem is just in the timeslots selection. Both are selected. When I receive or I transmit, it's in the 2 timeslots in the same time.

*Sorry. I realize I didn't post this message in the good section.

You possibly have a broken radio or you are not interpreting what you are hearing or seeing correctly..
I do not have an MD380 but after reading up on the experimental firmware, I note you can only monitor one Timeslot at a time, it is not possible to monitor both Timeslots at the same time..
I have a CS750, this has a switchable monitor function, I select either a TS1 or TS2 channel, hit monitor, all traffic on the selected TS will be heard, the TG and Colour Code and user ID will be displayed..
With the conventional firmware make sure you do not have a 'RX Group List' enabled otherwise you can hear multiple TG's on the selected Channel - but only on the selected channel's TS..

Thank you. I prospect again to find a solution. I will try to make a video to show you.
You also can see this video from F5UOX where you can see that the 2 timeslots are open in the SAME time...

If you are using simplex it uses both Timeslots as there is no synchronization between radios, Try it on a repeater - you will only hear one timeslot...
Sorry I did not realise you were refering to simplex..
