Text messaging via pc

Postby Simon » Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:25 pm

Hi all I've just come across a program from TRBOnet called text messager v1.0 it is freeware and can be downloaded from there website. Allows texts to be sent from your pc (connected of course to you mototrbo radio via the usb programming lead) very handy if like me you don't have the impress mic yet.

Just a note of caution.. the settings page of the utility advises that ARS should be enabled on a channel (via CPS)

However, DMR-MARC advise disabling ARS on network connected time slots.

See http://dmr-marc.net/FAQ.html

Also the registration page: http://www.dmr-marc.net/cgi-bin/trbo-da ... gister.cgi

TERMS;
I will ensure that my radios [ARS] feature is turned off while operating on any of the DMR-MARC repeaters.

Fair point G6FGY about the ARS, so only use it on simplex frequencies

Hello everyone .
I tried to put the program to work but could not in some way.
The program detects the radio (DP3400) but when I create a message and I send the radio does not transmit anything.
Someone has the same problem or know what might be going wrong .
