Converting Codeplugs

Postby G0UOO » Fri May 20, 2016 10:32 pm

I have a codeplug for a PD785 handy. Is there any easy way of copying its contents to a file that will load into an MD785 mobile?

There is a guide to do this here:

I have never tried myself (I don't own any Hytera equipment and wouldn't attempt this process on another persons radio for fear of 'bricking' it!)

Thanks.

Think I'll hold fire on that.

It would be for a friend's radio, and it's the potential for "bricking" it that concerns me too!

Hi Alan,

Interesting. How easy is it for you to do? I'd need to covert from a PD785 to an MD785.

I have found a procedure, but it looks time-consuming and with plenty of room for error!

Regards,

Rob.
