If they had just ASKED for input on the idea they had first it would have saved a lot of hassle/abuce

There was some talk on the facebook site that it was because of multiple keeper repeaters request. I sometimes just listen to TG1 and TG235, excellent to hear wide area conversations going on and I thought it was a pity when they became UA. I can see some people being infuriated at conversations taking place there however most of the time it is very quiet so I don't see it as much of an issue. More so the hogging of S2 TG9 by local stations who can do simplex to each other. Can be tiresome if you're two mobiles trying to make contact and S2 is in use because you feel guilty swapping to S1 which then wipes out the other TG's for all.

Is good things are evolving organically depending on the usage. I think it's a wonderful mode and the features it brings are cracking although not sure new repeaters will be able to keep up with the numbers that could move to the mode, given the cost.

Not sure about multiple repeater keepe requests, any communications between them and CC3 are kept confidential and it is only when the odd keeper breaks ranks and gives a different picture that you begin to wonder.
I am heartened to read so many users have turned the tables on the 'management' and stated that they might own the infrastructure but we CAN go elswhere.
Given time I feel that usage and availability of slots and TG's will slowly sort itself out..

I'd like to know where you plan to go - out of the roughly 69 operational DMR repeaters in the UK, SALOP has 3%, the SW Cluster has 10%, Brandmeister has 13% and Phoenix has 74% so currently there are not many options. As M0PFX mentioned last night, there is a divided camp (which includes users and Keepers) regarding TG235 being user activated. Overall outside of the c-bridge, I could imagine that a lot has been spent in money and time setting up the network since the UK became independent of Germany by 1 or 2 people thus I could imagine that the weekends fiasco on the FB page and even on air resulted in the making of what many call a bad decision. At the end of it all, it's their time and money they are playing with and they are obviously willing to take a risk - sometimes when things get out of hand its better to cut ones losses and move on.

Couldn't repeater keepers go back to MARC?

Don't think so, I think the options would be:
Stand alone (as it is now - Local TG9)
South West Cluster
Brandmeister
Salop Net

There would be no difference - the routing is all the same otherwise they would have to go via another country
Baofeng UV-5R , Motorola DM4600 , Motorola DP4800; Hytera PD-365 , Raspberry Pi 3 & DV4 Mini
Local repeaters GB7HR, GB7WL, GB7NS, GB7GF and GB7BK
