what about the rest of the UK? Stefan wouldn't say anything just advising of a 1st May announcement. The changes to the reflectors on the DV4MF2 software and the update on your website started to confuse people. Now we have a reflector list and not a talk group list. And do I presume TG850 is no longer in use?

Chris, for the rest of the UK, the only confirmed change is that there will be more reflectors available, you can add 4429 to your list as the testing reflector for DV4mini/dvmega.

Eventually it is likely that the recommended BM config will look similar to that published for the Scottish repeaters, with the choice of the default reflector left to the repeater keepers individually or in groups.

That is my understanding as a repeater keeper anyway.

I'm on EE. How do I talk to my pal on GB7NS??....

At the moment and for the forceeable future I don't think you will be able to, as EE is on the Brandmeister network and NS is on the Phoenix network and AFAIK the networks leaders are not talking to each other..

So 4400 works like the UK TG? - is it linked to the UK TG? I think the problem is I don't know exactly how the two different UK DMR networks (there are two now, right?) are interconnected, except via the EU,US and WW TGs.

Ah, OK - so the UK-wide DMR network has broken into two halves which don't talk to each other.

That's disheartening.

Well, I hope it gets fixed soon. It took me a while to encourage my pal to get his ticket, and nationwide DMR was one of the things that enthused him.

What actually happened? Dare I even ask?

Put it this way when either network is referred to in print by the opposing lot it is called "..another network" :-)

My Bad, I didn't check if they were on the same network, sorry.

@Rupert: The two are not even linked at the global or european level, they are completely separately unfortunately.

As for the reasons, don't go there, it looks like the Middle East would be easier to sort out....

To add confusion, there are 2 networks and 2 clusters

* Phoenix Network which links the UK to DMR-MARC
* BrandMeister Network
* South West Cluster
* SALOP Cluster

I'm unsure too on what is happening with Talk Groups. I suppose all will be revealed in due course...
