Retevis RT2 Dual Band DPMR

Postby g4vmz » Mon Feb 22, 2016 10:55 pm

I have a Retevis RT3 and am very pleased with it. But, I have just seen an ad on Ebay for the RT2 dual bander. Has anybody tried one of these, and, if so, what do you think of it? I know it has only 256 memories, but that is more than enough for me.

Believe the set to be DPMR, tier 1 single slot and not tier 2 dual slot. Same standard they use on PMR446 digital mode. Would be compatible back to back but no use through a repeater nor compatible with the DMR standards the RT-3 uses.

Thanks for that. I'm new to DMR and haven't yet got my head around the technical stuff. I won't be buying the RT2 then.
