GB7GT & GB7BX

Although not strictly isolated repeaters, these two are now active and connected to eachother, there may be plans to connect to the SW cluster or have any other groups with TDMA repeaters (Motorola) to join in.

Thanks for the heads up, have found this:

From: http://www.cc-3.net/

SALOP Network
This is a rather new development in the Wales and Marches region as at mid December 2015.
We currently do not have much information on this network so any assistance would be appreciated.
The network uses 2 channels as follows:

Slot 1 – Talk Group 9 – Local QSO’s
Slot 2 – Talk Group 950 – Accesses the network
------------------------------------------------------------

So we now have four networks:
Ex DMR MARC now DMR-UK (Last of the Summer Whine)
Ex DMR+ now BrandMeister BM (Hofmeister Beer or Follow the Bear)
South West Cluster (Scrumpy Net or DM ooh arr)
SALOP Net (Fred West Cluster) ;)

If all goes well, GB7BJ will also connect into the SALOP net along with GB7OZ.

That will make a tidy coverage from Oswestry down to Hereford.

GB7HM linked to the SALOP Net (GB7GT and GB7BX) for testing this weekend (27-28 Feb 2016) - using TG950 TS2 as the linked Regional TG. Sounds like it's working very well. For existing users of HM, please bear in mind that when TG950 on S2 is in use, it will effectively 'block' the normal TG9 S2 so if you get a 'busy' signal that might be the reason. Same deal if TG9 S2 is in use and you try to use TG950. If HM does get linked to the SALOP net full time - yet to be decided - then the 2 TG's will be TG9 S1 for local repeater only and TG950 S2 for Regional (linked) use, GB7BX and GB7GT at present, soon to be joined by GB7OZ and GB7BJ (fingers crossed).

The linking of GB7HM Hope Mountain to the SALOP Net (GB7BX & GB7GT) remains in place after the successful trial over the weekend. Coverage is excellent so if you are in the area give a call on TG9 Local TS1 (yes, that's TS1) or the linked Regional TG950 TS2. GB7BJ Bromyard and GB7OZ Oswestry are progressing through the vetting process and will hopefully be joining the network in the not too distant future.
